Convention 2012

Road Trip to Idaho

Last Tuesday when I arrived in Salt Lake City for Stampin’ Up!’s annual convention, my friend Cindy and I had arrival times pretty close to each other.  We rented a car and a nice car it was (we had to wait over an hour to get one, so they upgraded us and threw in a GPS) ~ Woohoo, thanks Budget Rent a Car!

Cindy’s bucket list is to visit all 50 states, so she found a fun place for us to visit in Idaho…..ready for this?  The Idaho Potato Museum!  So we drove roughly 400 miles (round trip) to visit the museum.  It was a very scenic drive and holy cow, I got to experience my first Sonic!  So I tried the diet cherry limeade ~ yumm-o!

Welcome sign as we entered into Idaho.

Not a lot of cars on the road, but a very peaceful and serene landscape.  Look at those puffy clouds…just gorgeous!

Not something you see everyday!

The largest potato chip (“crisp”) according to the Guinness Book of World Records.  This crisp measures 25″ x 14″ and it is 920 calories (equivalent to 80 regular Pringle’s potato crisps).

A burlap dress worn by the rodeo queen and a burlap tux!

One of many fun facts about potatoes!

In front of the museum with a gigantic potato!

Leaving Idaho and entering Utah again.

Look, when you visit the museum, they give you a real potato or a free gift…this day was hash-brown’s in a box.  I also picked up a magnet and check out the gift bag!  Too funny!

Hope you enjoyed this fun road trip experience because I sure did!
