A Happy Thing

The other day I had a job interview and wanted to make a unique thank you card.  The company I interviewed with is for a fruit growing operation and I thought it would be very fitting to use the A Happy Thing stamp set.  This stamp set is offered as one of many products that you can get for FREE.  It’s simple – one free product for every $50 you spend (before tax and shipping).

This card was inspired/CASEd by a gal from the Stampin’ Up! home office that demonstrated it on a live stream broadcast last week.  The live feed was from the Leadership Conference in Orlando, FL.  I was supposed to attend but my plans had change unfortunately.  Luckily, I was able to catch a few of the live feeds and while it wasn’t the same as being there in person, it was nice to sort of feel part of the action!

Here is the card that I made.  A few things about this card:

• I used the Old Olive Assortment Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers to color the Pearl Basic Jewels.
• I used the Aqua Painter and Soft Sky Classic Stampin’ Pad to color in (very lightly) the background around the lemons and leaves.
• The stamped image measures 3″ x 3″ and it is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Here is the envelope, remember never to send a naked envelope!  My customers always get a laugh out of that when I make that announcement during a class.  On the envelope I used the “rock n’ roll” technique to tie the whole lemon/fruit theme together.
