Hello there and welcome back for the Stamp It Group’s blog hop ~ Easter!
Today I’m sharing my Punch Art Bunny Butt card! I knew I would be making a bunny butt card as soon as I saw the Honeycomb Embellishments. It sure makes for the perfect fluffy tail, don’t you think? While the bunny is created using several Circle Punches and the Large Oval Punch, she is pretty easy to figure out. I am including instructions on how I made the flowers though.
Here are some close up photos of today’s card creation!
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FLOWERS
Cut two pieces of floral wire (about 3-1/2″ long) and one more (about 3″ long) . These wires are used as “hollyhock” stems and one will be used as a “sunflower” stem. I found that 18-gauge green floral wire works well. Punch ten flowers from Rose Red Cardstock using the flower punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. Punch ten hearts from Old Olive Cardstock using the heart punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.
To make hollyhocks, curl the round edges of the hearts around something small in diameter, I used a wooden skewer. Attach a Mini Glue Dot to the front of each heart, then pinch around the floral wire so the rounded edges curl back. Rotate the wire so the leaves are facing different directions. Attach five leaves each on two wires. If desired, use a Pearl Basic Jewel in the center of each flower.
Attach five of the four petal flowers to each of the two stems using Mini Glue Dots. (Position the flowers so they cover up the floral wire.) Bend the petals upward to give the flowers dimension.
To create sunflowers, punch two flowers from So Saffron Cardstock using the Petite Petals Punch. Wet all three flowers using a fine mist from a spray bottle. Lay each flower on the Stampin’ Pierce Mat, then press down in the center of each flower with the handle of the Paper-Piercing Tool. This will create dimension by causing the flowers to curl up. If desired, use a Rhinestone Basic Jewel or Silver Mini Brad in the center of each flower. Attach a Mini Glue Dot to the back of each flower, then press onto the floral wire.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will continue the rest of the way around our hop!
