With graduations upon us now, I wanted to share with you a super easy gift card holder that I made for my nephew Jake! I also made one last year for my daughter’s BFF’s sister, click here.
Here are the measurements and a quick instruction:
- cardstock (base): 7- 3/4″ x 5″ and score at 2-1/2″ and 6″
- cardstock (inside stamped piece): 2-1/4″ x 4-3/4″
- cardstock (belly band): 1″ x 7-3/4″
- DSP (top): 2- 1/4″ x 4-3/4″
- DSP (bottom): 1-1/2″ x 4-3/4″
Just adhere the sides of the small flap with Tear & Tape (placed on the very edge) so it will hold money or a gift card. Wrap the belly band around the holder and adhere closed with a piece (or two) of Tear & Tape. I used various sizes of the Layering Squares Framelits Dies to hide the end pieces. It comes together in a matter of minutes. Enjoy!
In case you are wondering where the graduation hat came from, I used the March 2016 Pocketful of Cheer Paper Pumpkin kit. I love receiving the kits monthly and continue to use the stamps in other projects that arrive. It is like a gift that keeps on giving! Why not sign up for your own monthly subscription?
