Friendly Friday

Weekend at the Beach

Happy Saturday everyone!  I don’t know about you all, but this past week has been a bear at work, traffic to/from work, etc.  You name it, I have experienced it!  Ugh!!  So glad that is is the weekend.

I wanted to share with you some photos from last weekend.  We rented a beach house in Ventura (about an hour’s drive) right on the beach and we were able to take Sidney with us.  We have never traveled with her so this was nice but also a little hard as every 2 hours I took her out so that she could do her business.  She loved running on the beach off leash but when the water touched her paws, she wasn’t too keen on that!  Lauren’s friend drove up on Saturday and spent the night.  All in all it was a great little getaway and relaxation at its best.

The house was a duplex at the end of the street and right on the beach, within walking distance of shops and restaurants.  The master bedroom was downstairs and had two patio doors, one opened up near the foot of the bed and you wouldn’t have asked for a better view. We would just watch the waves crash onto the shore from the living room and Saturday morning while having coffee, we watched two pods of dolphins swim by, truly spectacular to see them in their own element!  The sunsets were picturesque but the sun set so quickly.
