Happy New Year – Team Stamp It Blog Hop

Hello there and welcome back for the Stamp It Group’s blog hop ~ New Year’s!

A fresh new year is once again upon us. It’s the time to be thankful for the blessings of the past year and to take stock of all our achievements. At the same time, New Year 2017 is a brand new year to start afresh, to start strong, and yet another chance to do everything we want to do this year.

Today I am sharing with you my Happy New Year card.  I knew I would be cutting out the 2017 with the Large Numbers Framelits Dies as soon as I knew our theme for this hop.  I love the classic black and silver color combo and the pearls add just the right touch to a classy event.  This would make for a great party invitation or just wishing someone good for the coming year.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will continue the rest of the way around our hop!

Santa’s Sleigh – Team Stamp It Blog Hop

header

Hello there and welcome back for the Stamp It Group’s blog hop ~ Christmas Holiday!

OMG!!  Is this card too freakin’ awesome or what!?!?  This is my second try at a Double Z-Fold Card.  They are relative simple to make, I have noted the cardstock measurements that I used on my card (noted below) and while it was easy to assemble, just a little time consuming to stamp, die-cut the various pieces and thread the jingle bells.  I am in LOVE with the beautiful scroll design on the sleigh and the adorable teddy bear!  Due to the layers and dimensonals that I used, it will not lay flat when closed!  I am beyond thrilled with how this turned out and I will be making more of these special folded cards in the future.

I used various markers for the presents and hooves on the reindeer; Brights (Real Red) and Neutrals (Basic Black).

Hello there and welcome back for the Stamp It Group’s blog hop ~ Thanksgiving!

Today I’m sharing my non traditional Thanksgiving card and blessing mix.  The blessing mix is something that I make each year to give to family, friends, and neighbors.  This year I made a little box that is very quick and easy.  This little box is perfect for any occasion even classroom gifts if you have elementary aged kids.

POEM

Blessing Mix

The Bugles are a symbol of the Cornucopia,

a horn of plenty.

The Pretzels represent arms folded in

Thanks & Prayer.

The Candy Corn reminds us that during the

first winter, the pilgrims were allowed only

five kernels of corn per day because the

food was scarce.

The Fruit is a reminder that Thanksgiving is

the celebration of the harvest.

The Peanuts represent seeds, the potential of

the bounteous harvest of the next season if

they are planted & well-tended.

Halloween Themed – Team Stamp It Blog Hop

header

Hello there and welcome back for the Stamp It Group’s blog hop ~ Halloween!

Today I’m sharing my super creepy hand box and 31 card.  I wanted to create something ghoulishly frightening and I feel that I have accomplished it with this box.  I love the creepy hands, it looks like they are reaching out to grab you!  This box and card makes for a perfect Halloween gift for that older teen that enjoys the blood and gore of the Walking Dead!

Here are some close up pictures of the project.

Here is the package of creepy hands that I bought several years ago from the dollar store.  Not sure if they still carry them around this time of year but maybe a quick Google search, you might get lucky.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut two pieces of Basic Black cardstock measuring 4-3/4” x 7-1/2”.
  2. Cut Halloween Night Specialty DSP measuring 1-13/16” x 4-1/2”, 1-1/4” x 4-1/2” (two pieces), and 1-1/4” x 1-3/4” (two pieces).
  3. Begin with the bottom of the box and score the cardstock 1-1/2” on all four sides. and the top of the box will get scored at 1-7/16” on all four sides.
  4. Fold on all the score lines. Cut up to score lines on both sides (see template below).
  5. Add Tear & Tape to the four tabs and begin to build the walls to form the box. Both the top and the bottom of the box are assembled exactly the same.
  6. Adhere the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper to the top of the box and on the sides. ** With the exception of the front piece** Place the top piece over the bottom.
  7. Rub the Embossing Buddy on the DSP to prevent extra powder from sticking to your project. Stamp the dripping blood image from the Ghoulish Grunge Stamp Set in VersaMark Ink and stamp on the DSP.  Pour Real Red Glitter Embossing Powder over the stamped image and shake off the excess.  Then use the Heat Tool to set for a glossy raised image.  Adhere the front piece.
  8. Cut a piece of Very Vanilla Lace Trim measuring approximately 20”. Take a Sponge Dauber and place the ribbon on the Basic Black Archival ink pad and drag across to add color.  Set aside to let dry for a few minutes.
  9. Adhere the creepy hands on the top of the box with dimensionals and tie into a knot above the hands.
