Oksana and I are both sideline members in our Team Stamp It demonstrator group.  We first met each other (roomed together) at Leadership in 2011 in Nashville, TN.  She lives in Florida and it is always a treat to see her at SU! events!  Look at this beautiful initial that she made.  Right now it is sitting on my bookshelf and soon it will be hung on my wall in my craft room.

This is one of my favorite pictures of us.

Teresa and I are also sideline members in our Team Stamp It demonstrator group.  We have never met in person until now!

I am thrilled that we finally met in person and got to celebrate our anniversary walk together.  Happy Anniversary to us!  Wow, time flies when you are having fun…10 years!

from Cindy Ardis

Cindy I met five years ago at Convention.  We have became fast friends and as they say the rest is history.  She does not have an up line but my demonstrator group under the direction of Tami White have “adopted” her into the group and we all make sure she is a welcomed and a valued member!  I am blessed to have Cindy as a roommate while attending past SU! Leadership and Conventions.

This little treat box looks like a petit four, but it is actually body lotion.  How fun is that!

I will say that she totally out did herself with this years roomie gift and I am so very thankful!  Here is my favorite picture of us from Leadership in San Antonio, TX!

Inspire. Create. Share. Convention – SLC Adventures

During past SU! events Cindy and I have taken a little road trip to see things in the cities (or neighboring states) that the events are held.  This year we arrived in Salt Lake City at the same time on Wednesday morning and grabbed a rental car for half a day and ventured out.  Over the years we have always heard Shelli (CEO of Stampin’ Up!) talk about her favorite store.  So we went there and let me just say that it is totally a Shelli store!  : )  I purchased a pair of pearl drop earrings and a nice scalloped t-shirt (dressy one).  This is a beautiful store and they have so many lovely things for the home, body, and soul.

Then we headed over to Thanksgiving Point to see Brick Canvas before we went to the Gardens.

Having a little fun in the Secret Garden!

Thanksgiving Point Gardens is a 50-acre slice of heaven.  The photos do not do it justice and I just couldn’t get over the vibrant color and lushness of the area.  A few of my favorite places here were the Secret Garden, Monet Lake, Koi View Pier, Italian Garden and the Waterfall Amphitheater.

On Saturday after closing general session, we grabbed a quick bite of lunch and headed back to the hotel to wait for our tour.  We took the Kennecott Copper Mine and Great Salt Lake tour from  Chris was our tour guide and gave us so much history and background of the areas.

First we headed from the hotel to the Great Salt Lake.  We were warned that it might smell like sulfur but to our amazement, it did not (thankfully)!  Did you know that the Great Salt Lake is the saltiest lake in the western hemisphere?

We then transferred to a small passenger van to drive up a very long and bumpy road in the Oquirrh Mountains to 9,000 foot elevation for a spectacular overlook views of the largest man-made hole in history.  It is almost 1 mile deep and 3 miles wide.   The Kennecott Utah Copper Mine in Bingham Canyon is the richest copper mine in history.  Did you know that this hole is so large that it is visible from space?

On the way up the mountain we saw some wildlife.  How about some wild turkeys and mule deer?  On the way down, we spotted several mule deer but they ran very fast into the brush.

Inspire. Create. Share. Convention – Recap

Whew! What a whirlwind of a week!! I had SO MUCH FUN a few weeks ago at the 2015 Inspire. Create. Share. Convention in Salt Lake City, UT. The five days I was there were filled with so much inspiration and creativity (not to mention crazy fun)…I don’t even know where to begin!

As soon as I landed at the airport and picked up my bags, I went straight to the car rental counter to pick up a car for the day. There I met my good friend Cindy and we headed off for an adventurous day before our Shoebox Swap that evening! Tune in next week for all of the details!

After a short night’s sleep, we headed over to the convention center for bag pick up and then headed into the Opening Session!

My upline Tami and I.

The stage was gorgeous.

We started off the morning with a fun show called The Daily Share and they unveiled the new 2015 HOLIDAY CATALOG!!  OMG!!  This is hands down the BEST Holiday Catalog ever!

Available to purchase from on September 1st!   Before they sent us off for lunch and afternoon classes each of us received a full pack of the new Holiday Catalog! Who would like one of these little beauties in their hot little hands?

Look, I finally won a Prize Patrol!

Actually, everyone this year won a Prize Patrol!  Here is Cindy with hers.

Check out the gorgeous bag we all received this year. It sure makes for a nice fall bag to carry around due to the gray felt fabric.

To cap off the night, we attended Award Night, the theme this year was The Roaring 20’s. So much fun with the dancers and big band music.

During the General Session on Friday morning, those who have met a milestone got to participate in their “walk” across the stage. This is my 10th year as a demonstrator, so I was able to do the walk for my anniversary along with fellow team member Teresa Howe!! We had our paparazzi (aka Lori Mueller) take pictures of us on stage. It was pretty fun!

I even finally got to meet my friend Siara in person!  She lives on the Big Island in Hawaii and has an amazing blog.  Check it out here!

Here is a group shot of the Team Stamp It’s.

Many of us headed over to our favorite little pizza place followed gelato!

We started the day with the last two classes in my track rotation and they were great! One was on how to Create Amazing Videos to Promote Your Business. This has been something that I have wanted to do for the last few years but never knew where to start. This class was perfect and now I am inspired to give it a try!

The other class I had was on the new Compensation Plan that will be in place come November 1st.  They had a giveaway for a $5.00 gift card to Kneader’s and look who won!  I am the 4th name down!  Very exciting.

So Saturday evening following dinner, Cindy and I stopped by Kneader’s and pick up some sweets. We didn’t have any of these as we were full from dinner, so I packed them carefully and brought them home for my family to enjoy.  For the $5.00 gift card, I chose 2 of the bee hive cookies,  2 chocolate salted caramel cookies, and one bee cookie.  There is still a little money left on the card.

Before they let us go from the Closing General Session they gave us not one but TWO “all-attendee giveways!”…this means more FREE GOODIES! Each of us received the new Basic Black Archival Ink Pad and a pack of Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper both from the new Holiday Catalog!  I added my stamp set that I won from Day One.

It was such a fun time at Inspire. Create. Share. Convention 2015!

Inspire. Create. Share. Convention – Black & White with a POP of Color Swap

logo 2

I participated in another organized swap while at convention this year and the theme was Black & White with a pop of color.  I thought this would have been more difficult to come up with something that was limited on colors, but it was surprisingly easy.

Inspire. Create. Share. Convention – Sprinkles of Life Swap

logo 2

A little less than 3 weeks before the Inspire. Create. Share. Convention took place, I signed up for an organized swap featuring the Sprinkles of Life stamp set.  I know I have mentioned this before, but it is worth repeating; Stampin’ Up! donates $3 from the sale of every set to Ronald McDonald House Charities!  This is my swap that I shared with the group.

Inspire. Create. Share. Convention – Make & Takes

logo 2

This year Stampin’ Up!’s make & takes were set up to resemble a workshop experience.  The stamp set that we were given is from the upcoming Holiday Catalog and it’s called Your Presents.  I am so excited with this stamp set as the possibilities to use this set is limitless!  The one technique used on both cards is called the “Kissing Technique”.  Very fun and one that I don’t often use!

This was a little extra bonus project, in the class called Product Spotlight/Gathering Place, we had a short demonstration on the Home for Christmas Suite (also from the upcoming Holiday Catalog).  Then we moved over to some high tables were we created this little gem of a project.  You can add this piece to the front of a card or even add a small envelope to the back and have a super cute gift card holder.

The last part of our class was heading into the Gathering Place to see the new products from the upcoming Holiday Catalog.  In the photo below, you will see three products.  The top is a green box which uses the Gift Bag Punch Board (page 150 of the Annual Catalog).  We were given instruction on how to use it as well as use the new Tear & Tape Adhesive (page 156 of the Annual Catalog).  Next up is a new punch from the Holiday Catalog called Curvy Corner Trio Punch.  This punch cuts 3 different shapes (i.e., 2 corners and a ribbon slide).  The last project that we made is the banner.  It uses the Banner Triple Punch (page 165 of the Annual Catalog), Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape (page 157 of the Annual Catalog), Handheld Stapler (page 160 of the Annual Catalog), Greetings Thinlits (page 172 of the Annual Catalog), and last but not least two products from the upcoming Holiday Catalog that are SUPER fantastic! The Precision Base Plate is used along with the Big Shot that will assist you when using dies that are more detailed dies, giving you extra fine cuts.  The other new product is the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  This is perfect to adhering small embellishments, glitter, and small paper cutouts to projects.

Inspire. Create. Share. Convention – A Merry Little Wish

logo 2

This is one of my general swaps that I made to share with others while attending last weeks Inspire.Create.Share. event.  I was thrilled to learn that this stamp set made it into the Annual Catalog, originally debuted in the Holiday Catalog last August.  Here’s a bit of a fun statistic, did you know that the biggest selling stamp set this year was Festival of Trees and the coordinating punch?  So with that little bit of knowledge, I thought it was fitting to use it for my swaps.

Last week I attended the Stampin’ Up! Inspire.Create.Share. event and this was one of my general swaps.  I fell in love with this stamp set all due to this adorable frog!

Inspire. Create. Share. Convention – Roommate Gift

logo 2

This year it is just Cindy and I rooming together at the Little America Hotel.  WE miss you Dawn!!  I made this gift bag that can be reused.  I am loving the flower.  I stamped the image in Basic Black ink on Watermelon Wonder cardstock and then “fussy-cut” it.  I then dabbed Versamark Ink to the center of the flower and heat embossed it with Black Embossing Powder.  To finish it off I added a Neutrals Designer Collection Button and Black Baker’s Twine.

Want to see what is inside?  I thought you would say “yes”.  I filled it with gum, bag tag, pen, notebook, scissor charm, and a badge/ID clip.  I sure hope that she loves her goodies!  There is also some candy…no event is complete without chocolate!

Here are some close up photos of the gifts that I made!

At Stampin’ Up! events you always need to have a special bag tag to separate yours from the sea of 1,000’s of others just like it!

Last but not least, one very special gift that I got for my friend to use at work.  It is a badge/ID clip with beach themed charms.

Inspire. Create. Share. Convention – I’m So Lucky!

logo 2

Today, I am traveling to Salt Lake City for the Stampin’ Up! Inspire.Create.Share. event.  This evening I am attending a shoebox swap hosted by Sherrie Robinson and it is always a fun event.  This is a great kick off event to start the convention festivities.  This is my swap card, I hope the participates enjoy it!
