Botanical Birthday

Happy Hump day, we are half way to the weekend!  Today my friend is celebrating her “BIG” birthday and next Saturday is her luau themed party.  So I am kicking off the celebration with a fun fold called Card in a Box.  It’s been a while since I made one of these cards and I had forgotten how much fun these are!

I did use a few retired elements on this project – Botanical Builder and Large Numbers Framelits Dies.

Happy Birthday to You

Brighten someone’s day with this cheerful card.

Santa’s Sleigh – Team Stamp It Blog Hop

header

Hello there and welcome back for the Stamp It Group’s blog hop ~ Christmas Holiday!

OMG!!  Is this card too freakin’ awesome or what!?!?  This is my second try at a Double Z-Fold Card.  They are relative simple to make, I have noted the cardstock measurements that I used on my card (noted below) and while it was easy to assemble, just a little time consuming to stamp, die-cut the various pieces and thread the jingle bells.  I am in LOVE with the beautiful scroll design on the sleigh and the adorable teddy bear!  Due to the layers and dimensonals that I used, it will not lay flat when closed!  I am beyond thrilled with how this turned out and I will be making more of these special folded cards in the future.

I used various markers for the presents and hooves on the reindeer; Brights (Real Red) and Neutrals (Basic Black).

Trick or Treat Double Z-Fold Card

OMG!!  Is this card too freakin’ awesome or what!?!?  I have seen these Double Z-Fold Cards for the last few months and have never made one.  They are relative simple to make, I have noted the cardstock measurements that I used on my card (noted below) and while it was easy to assemble, just a little time consuming to stamp, punch, and die-cut the various pieces.  Due to the layers and dimensonals that I used, it will not lay flat (note my fingers in the picture below to hold it closed)!  I am beyond thrilled with how this turned out and I will be making more of these special folded cards in the future.

I used the September Paper Pumpkin (Something Good to Eat) stamp set for the pumpkins.  For the moon, I used the 2″ Circle Punch and sponged it with Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze Classic Ink.  I also sponged the mummy with Crumb Cake Classic Ink.  I used various markers for the treat bags and Dracula; Brights (Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Real Red) Regals (Crushed Curry) and Neutrals (Smoky Slate).

I love making cards that have a unique fold and this is a “z-fold” but it is vertical, I usually make mine horizontal.  This idea is CASEd from Mark Brown ~ thanks Mary!  The balloon and string are from the May 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Birthday Bundle.
