Toucan Gift Card Holder

Welcome back, friends!! I wanted to share with you this fun fold gift card holder that I made using several items from the “Birthday Bonanza” product suite found on pages 32-34 of the Occasions Catalog. It is the same card that I shared yesterday but just changed up the stamps and DSP.

I will note that I colored the 1/4″ Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon with the Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends. I stated with the light color and added the dark color to give more depth.

Congratulations Grad!

Hey friends, and happy Hump Day!  I wanted to share with you a super easy gift card holder that I made recently.

CARDSTOCK CUTS & INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS PROJECT:

  • cardstock (base): 7- 3/4″ x 5″ and score at 2-1/2″ and 6″
  • cardstock (inside stamped piece): 2-1/4″ x 4-3/4″
  • cardstock (belly band): 1″ x 7-3/4″
  • Glimmer Paper (top): 2- 1/4″ x 4-3/4″
  • Glimmer Paper (bottom): 1-1/2″ x 4-3/4″

Just adhere the sides of the small flap so it will hold the gift card.  Wrap the belly band around the holder and adhere closed.  I used various punches to hide the end pieces.  It comes together in a matter of minutes.  Enjoy!

Recently Sidney went in for surgery to remove what we thought was two tumors that were cancerous.  Not sure if it is a scam, but when animals go in for surgery they always push for the dental cleaning.  Thank goodness we opted to have her teeth cleaned because when they were doing her dental x-rays and cleaning, they discovered a small (5mm) tumor in her mouth, near a tooth that needed to be extracted.  Poor baby was so out of it for the first few days and she had to eat soft foods for the first 2 weeks, that meant no more dry kibble or treats!  If you know beagles, they are very impatient when it comes to their food!  I ended up cooking her boiled chicken breasts, rice and carrots for her breakfast and dinner.  For a treat I would give her a soft Beggin’ Strip in pieces.

Here is Sidney resting at home the first night shortly after I brought her home from the vet.
