Warm Hearted – Boo!

Happy Hump day, we are half way to the weekend!  Are you done with your holiday shopping?  I am just about there, all I have left are little things for stockings.  Ok, let’s get down to business with my share for today, I used the Warm Hearted hostess stamp set found in the Holiday Catalog and used the Kraft Pillow Boxes to create this cute gift.  Yes, I made it for my demonstrator meeting that was held back in October but never got around to sharing it!

Pick a Pumpkin

Welcome back to a new week, friends, I hope your weekend was grand!  I haven’t been posting too much lately, life has been just a little crazy for coco puffs!!  Things look better on the horizon and I hope to be posting more regularly once again.  Let’s get down to business with today’s share, I was inspired by Sandi Maciver’s card and CASED her’s with a few tweaks here and there.

Welcome back to a new week, friends, I hope your weekend was grand!  We stayed home all weekend and enjoyed some much needed family time!

Halloween Scares Treat Box

I love making little treat boxes for the holidays and this one is super simple and fast to put together.  The best part is that you just untie the ribbon to get to the candy, etc. inside instead of tearing the box apart!

Trick or Treat Double Z-Fold Card

OMG!!  Is this card too freakin’ awesome or what!?!?  I have seen these Double Z-Fold Cards for the last few months and have never made one.  They are relative simple to make, I have noted the cardstock measurements that I used on my card (noted below) and while it was easy to assemble, just a little time consuming to stamp, punch, and die-cut the various pieces.  Due to the layers and dimensonals that I used, it will not lay flat (note my fingers in the picture below to hold it closed)!  I am beyond thrilled with how this turned out and I will be making more of these special folded cards in the future.

I used the September Paper Pumpkin (Something Good to Eat) stamp set for the pumpkins.  For the moon, I used the 2″ Circle Punch and sponged it with Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze Classic Ink.  I also sponged the mummy with Crumb Cake Classic Ink.  I used various markers for the treat bags and Dracula; Brights (Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Real Red) Regals (Crushed Curry) and Neutrals (Smoky Slate).

Bootiful Treat

I haven’t made a matchbook treat holder in so long and forgotten how simple and easy it was to do.  I cut several strands of the Baker’s Twine and tied into a bow then adhered it over the staple to hide it.

Under the Baker’s Twine is where I stapled the bottom of the candy and the cardstock to create the matchbook.  Please note that Stampin’ Up has announced on October 11th, that due to supplier issues outside of their control, the Handheld Stapler (item 139083) and coordinating Silver Mini Staples (item 135847) will be discontinued after the current inventory runs out. I personally love mine and use it often, it is smaller than a regular stapler but works just the same.

Mummy Halloween

This stamp set “Cookie-Cutter Halloween” is so much fun and addicting.  It sure makes for a quick way to put together a card in no time.  I recently saw a sample on Pinterest where the this image (mummy) was turned into a ninja by coloring in the image but the eyes with the Basic Black marker.  This image also makes for a great get well card too!  I am going to cross my finders that this stamps survives the retirement list.

I added a small piece of DSP as well as some Designer Washi Tape to the inside of the card.  This added some interest as well as some fun for the eyes!

Trick or Treat

I CASEd this card from page 53 of the Holiday Catalog, I love the look of the spider web on the Basic Black Cardstock layer.  To create this look, rub the Embossing Buddy over the Basic Black Cardstock to prevent extra powder from sticking to your project.  Stamp the spider web image from the Ghoulish Grunge Stamp Set in VersaMark Ink and stamp on Basic Black Cardstock on all the corners and sides.  Pour Clear Embossing Powder over the stamped image and shake off excess.  Then use the Heat Tool to set for a glossy raised image.

Vampires, Witches, & Ghosts, Oh My!

There are so many elements on this card that I am in love with.  My first love is the Seasonal Decorative Masks, you can create your own background design with a sponge or spritzing tool.  It would also make for some fun tissue paper and gift wrapping as well.  My other love are the Halloween Night Enamel Dots, they look so good to eat and remind me of the candy dots I would get as a child.  I wonder if they still make those?
