Warm Hearted – Cheers to the New Year!

Welcome back, friends!  Can you believe that today is the last day of 2018?!  This year flew by and I am hoping that 2019 is a good one for my family.  I wanted to share with you another swap card that I made for last month’s OnStage event that I attended.  I have sure gotten a lot of use from this stamp set and it will most likely be kept for personal use.

Wishing you all a very happy and healthy 2019!!

So Santa Shaker Card

Welcome back to a new week, friends, Monday sure comes around way to quickly over here…but then again, when doesn’t it?!  Today’s share if my swap card I made while attending last month’s OnStage event in Orlando.  My demonstrator group held an organized swap and I knew I wanted to do something fun with the So Santa stamp set found on page 23 of the Holiday Catalog.  I had sand that I collected for a project that I never got around to using, so I turned my card into a shaker.  The sand is from my local favorite beach located just north of me in Ventura, Calif.

OnStage Gift for BFF

Happiest of Fridays, friends! When I attend these events, I love to put together a special gift for my friend/roommate. As Stampin’ Up! celebrated their 30th anniversary, their logo was a beautiful floral motif and I knew that I would somehow use it. I am pretty impressed with how it all came together, if I do say so myself!

Here is the gift bag that is “dressed up”!

Now for the contents of the bag!  I ordered the recruit folders that are available to demonstrators.  I cut off a portion on the top and scored from each end to create four pockets.

The left over piece was perfect to score and attach a Post-it pad!

This was super fun to make with the Apron Builder dies.  I did use a retired stamp set as I did not have a current floral set that would work.

Here is the folder all closed up.

I made a paper snip holder and paced that on the left pocket.  On the right pocket, it has a 2019 easel desk calendar (sorry no picture – I forgot to take one).

Here on the left I made a 5 x 7 covered notepad with the Statement of the Heart sentiment and on the right side, there is a pen and Hershey’s chocolate bar covered in DSP.

Here is a close up of the paper snip fabric holder.

OnStage Orlando

One of the best things about OnStage is it gives us all a chance to meet up each year. I love my demonstrator friends! I was able to meet many that I’ve only been connected with through social media, and I made even MORE new friends (from all over the world!).

We’ve been so spoiled! This was just the loot from check-in. We received a whole lot more too!

This event was super special because we celebrated Stampin’ Up! being 30 years old. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long. In fact, I celebrated my 13th anniversary with SU back in August.

The table decorations are always fun to see! This year we had about a 3 hour break to eat lunch and stamp projects each day.

OnStage Make & Take: Project 3

Welcome back to a new week, friends, I hope your weekend was grand!  Our weekend was fun-filled with prom stuff.  I took last Friday off from work and spent the day with Lauren getting manicures and pedicures.  Saturday was a busy day with hair and makeup and tons of pictures for Valencia High School’s prom.  I will share more details later this week.

Now let’s get down to business with today’s card that we made a few weeks ago at OnStage.  I love this daisy stamp set and coordinating punch.  But I am really in love with the little faceted gem in the center of the flower.  This is from the Delightful Daisy Suite.

OnStage: My Other Swap Card

Hello, Hello!  How was your weekend?  We had a blast celebrating Mr. Wonderful’s 60th birthday!  I will share more details later this week.

Today I am sharing the other swap card I created for the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event in San Diego, CA. When you participate in a swap, everyone makes a load of cards, brings them to the event, and it’s sort of like exchanging valentines…you walk around and swap cards with one another. In the end, you have tons of beautiful card samples to use for inspiration!

CARDSTOCK CUTS FOR THIS PROJECT:

  • Crushed Curry: scrap
  • Melon Mambo: scrap
  • Whisper White: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ ans 4″x 5-1/4″ and scrap

GOTTA HAVE IT?  Please click on the Stampin’ Up! product images below for more details and easy, on-line shopping.  A printable supply list is available as well!

OnStage Loot

Cheers to Friday, friends!  How did your week go?  I had a pretty eventful one, Mr. Wonderful finally got through his cataract eye surgery on Wednesday and while I worked four days this week I have been busy with the final preparations for his surprise party that is taking place tomorrow!  I am not worried stating this as he does not follow my blog!

Let’s get down to business with today’s sneak peek of the loot I walked away with from last Saturday’s Stampin’ Up! OnStage event in San Diego, CA!  I went home with a bunch of swaps, new product such as ribbon and four stamp sets!  The highly coveted item of the day was the brand new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  Wow…wow…wow!  If you would like to receive the new catalog, please drop me a line and I will make sure to get one sent to you.
